关于我的
I started my academic career as a professor at the University of Michigan School of Medicine. 在密歇根, I developed my ongoing research program in HIV-1 replication, and I was involved in the initiation of their undergraduate Biochemistry program. For the last 20 years, I have been a leader in Catholic higher education as a professor, as a department chair, and in my current role as Dean of the 艺术学院 and 科学, overseeing these programs at the University of Mary. I maintain an active student-engaged research program in HIV-1 drug discovery and work with colleagues in the development of modern and relevant courses in the sciences.
为什么我在立博中文版I am at the University of Mary because it is one of the few universities I have encountered where one can engage with students in the rigorous pursuit of scientific inquiry while remaining fully integrated into a faithful and authentically Catholic university culture. I moved to Mary five years ago because I believe that this university is making a real difference in the development of servant leaders, and is quickly becoming a leader in Catholic higher education. It is exciting to be a part of this great project.
